The next part of the installation has gone in around our silent Tommy. The Scouts have made over 100 ceramic poppies, which last night they placed at the foot of the tower poppies, flowing over to the lawn and around the figure so that he stands in a field of poppies. 

Over this weekend the installation will start to come together in church ready for our opening next Friday - Sunday.

The local newspaper has just been in touch with me as they had received so many photos from people saying how powerful the tower poppies are. They are going to run a story for us.
