Takeaway

I think my daughter enjoyed her takeaway drink this afternoon.

However, it is another single use plastic container and straw to be recycled. Reusable cups are fine - if you carry one around with you.  Biodegradable alternatives to plastic would be good.  But, given how useful plastic is, surely we should be developing adequate recycling facilities so that this plastic can be recycled and reused rather than allowing it to escape uncontrolled into the environment - and, of course, each of us has a responsibility  to ensure that our plastic ends up in recycling and isn't simply discarded in an uncontrolled fashion.
