Victoria Rooms, Bristol
We took a trip into Bristol, to see the poppy display set up by the Charfield yarn bombers in Bristol Cathedral.
Earlier, despite all my protestations, I found myself trial-hanging out some of the rest of the poppy display in the village, to test some of the "engineering" involved. I know many villages are in full poppy mode already. I think our village display will be on telly next week.
The photograph is of the Victoria Rooms, at the top of Park Street / bottom of Whiteladies Hill, with Edward VII and the fountain in the foreground. The fountain isn't always running, and even today one side was off, but I couldn't ignore the potential for an ultra-wide shot. As you can see the weather was undecided...
The food in the little cafe in the Royal West of England Academy (RWA) across the street, by the way, was delicious and they're certainly worth a try if you're in the city.
