My porch and ghost

Didn't have as many Trick or Treaters tonight as last year, but still had quite a few. Also an unexpected visit from Grace and Autumn who I didn't think would be coming as Daddy was working Nights and it would have meant mummy bringing them by bus, but they had been to an afternoon Halloween Party and stopped off on the way home so that was nice.

I think the ghost turned out ok not as good as I hoped though. One little girl had to have her photo taken with him. lol

The 31st of October was the last day of the year in the Celtic calendar the eve of All Hallows when the spirits of the dead came back. Along the way Christianity changed a lot of the Pagan festivals and incorporated them into  church festivals. Its too long to print here but interesting to look up on google .
