People are saying that October has been cooler than normal and it's true I expected it to be ramping up towards the hot, humid and wet season. As I met with a colleague who has joined me in Maputo this evening ready for our field trip to the north tomorrow, a fast heavy downpour trapped me in the restaurant. As I write this I'm lying in bed and the heavens have opened again. I think rainy season is officially declared open.
