The giant tree

We had a lovely wee Christmas tree in the town square, but the powers that be must have decided it wasn't big enough, so this morning on the way to work we were greeted with a crane, men with chain saws and this GIANT of a tree!

The wee tree got chopped down and was replaced with this monster! It was a bit touch and go for a while (they only thought to measure the hole it was going in when it was hanging on the crane in mid air, typical men!) but they got there eventually!

I made my friend D stand next to it (much to his embarrassment) for a bit of perspective, although he's about 10ft tall so it was probably just a normal size tree to him!
