Occasional Showers

Imagine - a whole morning playing on the boat. Though tiny niggling things like one rounded bolt head can take a ridiculous amount of time. Still, I’m getting the old redundant stuff removed and equally enjoyably understanding what runs where - though there’s little to show for that understanding of course.
Late afternoon we headed up to the Cameo to see “They Shall Not Grow Old” - the film produced by Peter Jackson from the IWM archives. Absolutely fascinating - I think of everything that I’ve seen over the last four years commemorating WW1, this will stand the test of time. He’s put together a simple narrative from before the war to the aftermath, using the veterans own recorded reminiscences, which covers every aspect of the war, and the remastering is unbelievably good. Stunning. A must see etc….
