Grey skies in Glasgow but blue ones over Ayrshire. Visited the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum today and had a fine time.

Great exhibition, good songs, nice lunch. We wandered over to the Burns Cottage too and wondered about how cold it must have been to wake up there.

The Burns Monument stands overlooking the Brig o'Doon, with impressive columns that feel a bit more continental than Alloway.

It might all make you turn to poetry.
