Shifting dirt...

Another huge machine has been brought to the development site to the East of our village. There are now two diggers and to dump trucks. This Bell B20E articulated dump truck is every bit as impressive as the Volvo A25G articulated hauler I blipped the other day. Apparently these four machines are here for five weeks, it's a big job!

I've been reliably informed that in that huge body of legislation to transfer EU law to UK law once Brexit takes effect the requirement for developers of sites just like this to carry out archeological surveys and record the results for future generations has been quietly dropped...

This is of course a good thing for the developers... the door allowing them not to 'waste' money on such pointless exercises in the future is well and truly open, all the more profit for them.
