Odd one out

Friends for dinner this evening and I realized, rather belatedly, that having taken my Victoria sponge into work to celebrate someone’s recovery from illness, I had nothing to serve my guests for whom I’d originally baked the cake

A quick trip to the supermarket resolved the problem, although there had been a run on the Halloween confectionary. Guess who got the understated one? I’m told the other two were fabulous, especially the mint chocolate Frankenstein... sigh...
