The journey north

Another visit to the lakes has started. A fairly boring travel day until We got to Preston, then some idiot decided to walk along by the rail tracks causing all train movements to stop. So we sat there for half an hour until he got arrested. The delay meant that I was able to get this shot near Lancaster. It’s through the train window, which was a bit grubby as you can see, but I do like a nice sunset. Friend R collected us from Oxenholme and after an ‘interesting ‘ drive around Kendal in our hire car and a visit to Sainsbury’s with Mr P, we had a very tasty curry at R’s.
