Big Dogs!

Beautiful light first thing in the morning - unfortunately the shadows it cast of me and Oscar freaked him out so we had to turn back and walk into the light! Come the afternoon I took him to Kit Hill where he delighted me with his recall! We met lots of other dogs and their owners were all quite taken with Oscar, none more so than the owner of these two giant dogs! They made Oscar look really small! Their owner told me that socialisation was the most important thing to do with a puppy and that he used to sit with his outside Tesco for an hour or more greeting people! He was so taken with Oscar he said he would look into finding a breeder and would get one when the older of his big dogs passed on - yes he had another elderly one at home! 
After taking in the glorious views we headed home via the local small garden centre to buy compost for my bulbs and some leeks and spring cabbage to go into the bed that the wallflowers I'd planted last week were bordering. A quick visit to The Exile who was looking after Buddy for the weekend - who again delighted in mounting Oscar! It seems Buddy is a barker and The Exile was getting rather irritated with him, particularly as she needed to do an interactive induction so needed absolute quiet!  Home to cook dinner and watch Strictly - I do love the  halloween themed episode!
