Drombeg Stone Circle

sits on the hillside overlooking the sea between Rosscarbery and Glandore.

There is a grave in the centre of the circle which has been radiocarbon dated to 800 - 1100 BC. Uphill a little from the stones are two more remains of stone structures which (the on-site information says) were huts where people lived.

It was a bright cold windy day. Very different from yesterday, thank goodness.
