Term of Endearment

My dearest purchased this for me many years ago and I saw it as a term of endearment. Now however the staff at work have nicknamed me this and my own offspring have been known to say it about me as well.

If I did not know they were all joking I might well get upset.

As I know me very well then I have no idea where it comes from??.
