FINALLY OPENS....

.... for "many years" there has been the typical political debates over a new bridge over the mighty Nepean River - well yesterday it was finally opened.

Could not make the opening and all the "ho ha"... but went down today for a few shots - check on FLICKR from here. 

Some will say why spend all the money it took (yes approx A$49 million) but the delay and cost came byway of the negotiations for the long span so that support pillons would be eliminated.

Anyway, it is up and sure is some structure and will be a great spot for some great pics.
