Occupational Hazard

The View in Cable St Wellington as The Boss and I staggered back from a wander with the local Probus group. Its been a sorta cathartic (new word) day as he has been working himself up to do a major tidy of his MacBook hard drive and this afternoon while it rained outside he got started on this on the plan that he would delete most of the history but one image at a time to make sure he would find some images of Washington that were plonked there a few years ago and forgotten and need to be "booked" he has also written a new spec for image handling where ONLY the blip images for the day (and special ones) will be transferred and the unused ones deleted from the Mac and a week later deleted from his iPhone too. There are 21000 images on the Mac most of them not required for any particular reason and getting faithfully backed up and this is going to stop...Not the backing up thingie but them being there in the first place.
He remembers some years ago he did a survey around friends at the time and the winner had 28,000 images on his PC. Have you ever considered what is going to happen to this if you fall sick and other age related stuff?
So today 4265 went including some folders which had previously been made into books were shifted to an external drive, but since they were books they could go to as Blurb Books are backed up as long as you are a member so you will never need the originals and can order another copy anytime.
So how many pics have you on your PC, Mac, iPad etc?
WHY????
He isn't going to tell you...Maybe call back later?
