Long Shadows

Thechimp and I went on the egg walk this afternoon - a local farm sells eggs from a shed at the end of their drive - our hens are eating all their eggs despite our attempts to stop them and Mary was keen for us to have home made custard. I took my picture at about 3.30 and the shadows were already lengthening - this is the start of the short days and long nights
