Loch of Lintrathen

Glorious sunny day today, so we went out early for a drive to enjoy the autumn colours and ended up at our old stomping ground at Loch of Lintrathen.  However it was such a shock to see it looking like this - who stole all the water?!!  There was some in the middle of the loch (see Extra), but we are going to need a lot of rain to fill it up again.

After a lovely lunch at the Wee Bear Café, we took the road through the Angus Glens to Balintore to check on the castle renovations there.  It was looking good in the sunshine (see Extras) and we enjoyed the drive through the countryside with lots of rabbits and pheasants for company!
The colour of the fields, bracken and trees was just beautiful too.
