A little bit of sunshine

But still so cold!

These Marigolds self seeded from last year and have taken until now to flower. With a bit of sun today they could have been taken in summer but the temperature and the shortening days tell us otherwise.

In the front garden we still have roses in flower. The Alexander is looking good but still not as big as it's predecessor but I think it will come. The Champagne Moment is flowering still and has lots of buds but is still only about a foot tall. ( I bought this one to celebrate Eda's birth)
We complained to David Austin about it as in May it was half dead. When they saw a photograph they agreed to a replacement. It came yesterday. Feel a bit guilty as it has lived and flowered but isn't exactly thriving. We're going to put the new one in a pot for now.
