Shoe Shine in Cairo

First time a shoe shine has asked me to take my shoes off while he worked on them. He provided his own sandals for me to stand in. My mocassins, featured here, must really have seen to him to be on their last legs! He even set to with a pair of scissors to tidy up the hanging leather cords that were trailing badly on the ground.
