Graduation Day: the view from the stage

It was Graduation Day for our students today at the Royal Festival Hall in London. This was the view from the stage, where all the academic staff have to sit in the full glare of the lights. In the stalls sit hundreds of graduates waiting their turn to come up and receive their congratulatory handshake. They were watched by proud parents and family members sitting up in the balcony.
