Winter Droving

A very different Saturday: no cleaning for me to do at the holiday lodge! Last week's visitors left early so The Man cleaned it yesterday, knowing this week's visitors were looking forward to being here by Friday evening.

The visitors had stayed here this time last year, or at least the husband did. His wife had to stay home looking after her mum. The same was about to happen this year but she was ordered, by family, to leave mum in their capable hands and have her well-earned holiday!

So, the reason for their return visit was that last year the gentleman told me he would pass his time alone taking photographs. So, I told him to get himself into Penrith to see our annual pageant. He enjoyed it so much he immediately rebooked so that this time his wife could see it.

We collected Bro-In-Law and chose a different viewpoint to save us taking his wheelchair into the crowded part of town. As you can see the geese being driven to market have missed going to the M&S Foodhall.
