Mahonia raider

While I was making my breakfast I kept seeing the mahonia bush shaking and lots of the pretty yellow flowers falling off, I was completely stumped as to an explanation because it wasn't really windy. So I stood and watched for a while with camera in hand (well you never know what might emerge) and soon this little blue tit revealed himself and continued pecking and pulling at the flowers. I managed to get several shots but most of them were of his back and this one is not the best quality because it is very dull here, but it is good enough for me to nail the culprit. I can only assume that the flowers have some nectar or insects in them, although it did look like he was just pulling them off and throwing them down, more like wanton distruction than eating, I have no idea why.
MrPN is still doing battle with the computer, now it won't load webpages properly, I think there may be some software conflicts going on with the preloaded stuff disagreeing with our stuff (technical term) and I still hear the odd expleative through the ceiling ( he said he is going to take his axe to it soon). I am so glad I have my laptop or I would not have been able to get onto Blip for three days now - horror of horrors! :-)
