For Frack’s Sake

Today the fracking work was temporarily delayed around these parts as the 17th earth tremor in the past week was registered. At least Blackpool Tower was still standing as I parked up in the rain.

Spent a while with Dad at the hospital. They want to keep him under observation over the weekend. So, I headed out to get him a mobile phone charger, toothbrush and toothpaste and some other bits and pieces.

Once “quiet time” commenced I was encouraged to leave and so started the long drive back home.

The fire is on, the red wine is uncorked and Mrs S is lifting vegetarian sausage and mushroom casserole out of the oven.

After that it will be an early night I reckon.
