forces of nature

we took a little trip out to long beach today to see how things are shaping up (after more than three weeks since the super storm.) I was planning to take pictures of damaged buildings or piles of waterlogged furnishings on the street, and there was plenty of all that, but, in the end,the sight of the churning ocean and the sunlit sky and the shifting sand won the day's blip.
