Out on the bike trail
Wednesday
Had a fairly early start this morning, making the pies for tomorrow, before driving up to Dayton airport to pick up Jen (our eldest daughter) and her husband Jason, flying in from Houston. They'd had a really early start, leaving their apartment at 4am (!), so we figured they'd be ready for an early lunch, so we stopped at a Panera Bread on our way home. When we got home, Jason decided he'd go upstairs for a nap (can't say I blame him!), but Jen was up for coming out for some exercise. Unfortunately her foot problem has flared up again this last week, so she felt she would be better off biking, rather than walking, so her feet wouldn't be weight-bearing. Roger and I took our tandem and Jen rode my bike, starting in Loveland and heading south for a change. We had to have an early evening meal, since Roger and I were singing and playing hand bells at our church's Thanksgiving Eve service, and we were practicing beforehand. The service is always followed by a Pie fellowship - a nice way to start the holiday.
