Heading for the Lakes

We left the homestead early this morning to meet up with Suz and pointed the car in the direction to the Lakes Tekapo and Pukaki.

I was so excited and especially that it had been snowing the day before so the mountains looked especially gorgeous.
The great thing about traveling with locals is that they know places ...secret places that one would not find otherwise..........so there were a few more (smaller) lakes on the agenda and some views that took my breath away. What to say the camera/s have been running hot and the day has been great.......S so kind to stop the car when I start panting like an excited dog needing to get the shot...all of us falling out of the car bristling with our cameras.......reading to go ....and then there were the Lupins...those gorgeous Lupins....not out in full glory but patches of the most gorgeous colours and shapes....and then there was...and then there was............so much lovely stuff.

There was no way I could not post a pic of Aoraki/Mt Cook everything inside of me lights up when I see it.........the extras are some of the other places we visited.
