met my mother and a friend of hers, K, for lunch and a spot of shopping this afternoon. standing around in john lewis' haberdashery dept, K gets a phone call: their house sale has gone thru! repaired to wine bar for bottle of rose to celebrate. nice afternoon meandering and nice weather.
