A map, made by Timothy Pont in the 17th century.
He was one of the first real cartographers and made some astonishing maps of Scotland...this one is of Loch Tay and surrounds...
The panels of marquetry (?sp) are from the RMS Mauretania, and I've no idea why they ended up at the Firbush outdoor centre.
We ended up there, as well, on Friday night; as always, I felt the tension drain away as soon as I stepped out of the bus.
