Homecoming

Had a lovely walk along the coastline from San Sebastián to Pasaia. Beautiful scenery. This photo was taken this evening from the port of Getaria. The statue of a mother and her two children looking out for the fishing boats safely returning home is as valid today as it was 100 years ago. We watched the large fishing boats heading out for two/three days fishing on the Atlantic Ocean......not an easy life for the fishermen or their families.
