Happy news today is that my replacement desk arrived so I nipped up to Wickes for some appropriately short screws. It is now securely fixed in place and I am sitting writing this with my laptop and camera safely upon it.

This means that my pre-loved table is now exclusively for eating, being sociable and sewing and I do not have to clear away the laptop to allow it to be used for those purposes. My little office/den is up and running and now I need only resolve the armchair.
