To the west and the fantastic new Emirates Arena for the Scottish International Badminton Championships; free tickets from school. The consolation was a visit to the handsome new Chris Hoy Velodrome next door. The badminton finals were dominated by the strong Japanese team who won every final 'cept the Mens Singles Final where Indian, Anand Pawar, fought out a compelling three set contest with another Japanese teamster and won. Entertaining, but I wouldn't rush back next year. Owen found one Japanese player's surname most mirthsome; Fukuman.

On the way home, we stopped on Carntyne Road for Chish and Fips for the first and last time in our lives; it's not what you'd call posh really is it?
