Ecomuseum Adda di Leonardo

Afternoon bike ride along the Martesana Canal and Adda River.  It goes all the way from Milan to Lake Lecco.  The part near me is very scenic and also was frequented by Leonardo d'Vinci while studying civil engineering and having stayed at Villa Melzi for a few years.  It is said he kept the Monna Lisa with him in his room while staying there.  The canal system was also supposedly engineered by him and several landmarks used or inspired in his paintings like the backdrop of The Virgin Of The Rocks.

All said, nice 'longer' lunch ride today and nice to be back on the mountain bike after finally completing some needed maintenance.
