Laying the footpath

The workmen were laying the tarmac on the footpath today. The road was tarmacked last week - at least the short part that has been built to give access to the first houses that are currently being built. One or two are now at roof level. They are starting to build further round, so the views of trees etc to the left of the back of our house will soon be restricted. However, I can still see the windmill on the hill (hidden in this photo by the digger). It’s all quite interesting - and quite noisy when they’re right at the back of our house like they were today.
