Autumn reflections
I went down to Prades market first thing feeling the cold but by the afternoon I was stripping off the layers. The difference between morning and afternoon temperatures is quite surprising. The market shopping was done quickly. Patrick had a turbot in so I bought that alongside the usual mussels for a treat. The bread stall duly fulfilled my order for the petit épeautre (einkhorn) bread I ordered last week along with a sourdough loaf. The trees in the park are really showing their autumn colours beautifully now. I went to French conversation in the afternoon but there was just Nicole and me. She dropped me off at the Mairie afterwards to hand in a set of car keys I had found on the pavement.
