Fly fishing anyone?

This rather strange object is a seed from a small sprig of wild oats I've been meaning to photograph for our camera club 'Autumn - Macro' theme this month.  I was about to throw it out when some seeds fell off and I noticed they looked rather like the flies a fisherman would use to attract trout or something similar!
