The Royal Iris

A couple of weeks ago, I read in the paper about a petition to get the Royal Iris, a former Mersey Ferry, back to Liverpool. In the 1960s bands such as The Beatles and Gerry & The Pacemakers performed on her. She's been moored in Woolwich since 2002 and today I spotted her, just behind the Thames Barrier, when I went for a walk from there back to Greenwich. She was looking very sad, neglected and rusty.

Anyway, the mystery of the mysterious filming in the Old Royal Naval College that I didn't bother to find out about is solved! They are filming Thor - The Dark Ages (I read it in a local paper..I hope I've got my facts right!)
