Bradgate Park
A day out in my own today at Bradgate Park near Leicester. Well, I say alone. There were thousands of other people but nobody I knew.
The glorious sunshine came as a welcome relief from all the rain although the river through the park was well up and many paths, even quite high up were very wet indeed.
This is a view towards Old John. I have quite a few images from today as you might expect and it was difficult to choose. Old John, or more properly known as Prospect Tower is built atop the 690 foot high hill - the highest point in Leicestershire. It was built in 1784 by the 5th Earl of Stamford.
