Vive la Vie

Fever pitch

We have been on a countdown to this day all week.

We had a horribly early start to the day - both kids up before 6am - Olivia with sheer excitement and Dexter with what turned out to be a vomit bug.
Dex was left at home while I dropped Olivia off at her dance class so that I could race to the airport to pick up Mum and Dad and get back before the end of the dance class. Olivia threw herself at Mum and Dad when they walked in and was eager to show her grandparents to her teacher!

It was then home for more cuddles and kisses from Dexter and some play and food before everyone, except myself and Olivia, retired for a sleep while I took Olivia to a birthday party. She was also incredibly excited about this so she could wear her 'party' dress and see her best boyfriend (as Olivia describes him) called Nathan as she knew he was going to be at the party!

Dexter made an incredible recovery and was full of beans when we returned so we decided to carry on with our plans for a meal out with Mum and Dad while Ali came to babysit. We went to a wonderful restaurant called La Quincaillerie which was our gift to Mum and Dad for their Wedding Blessing in the summer. We had a lovely evening and it's the first time we've been out for a meal with my parents in Brussels without the kids, which meant we got to talk!
