A WOW Day at Canyon Gate
I went to the clubhouse to shoot a tree for another Pep Ventrosa style image. (see extra) I am fascinated with this. The way you layer and control the opacity changes the image drastically. I could do this all day long!
There was a bit of rain again this morning, so the air was really clear and the mountains were washed and dusted. I thought this scene, with the clouds snuggled into the mountains and the cormorants in the center palm tree, was a winner for todays' blip.
The area where there are heavy tire tracks and browning grass will all be dormant soon. They had to spray that area to force the grass into dormancy. It cuts down on the amount of water needed through the winter. I like the contrast of the green and brown in the winter. Certainly a different look from the rest of the year.
The tree in the extra image is rather confused. It has quite a few blooms along with leaves that soon to fall (see second extra). I think that is what drew me to that tree.
I voted today. I am grateful that I have that privilege. Early voting started on Saturday and there was still a long line this afternoon.
Until tomorrow.....
