The dropped stitch

By Bodkin

Park hall, near Bixter

An interesting old house, which over many years has deteriorated to its present sad state.

Built for a local doctor around 1900 by the in situ poured concrete method of construction. In its day it must have made a bold statement sitting in the Shetland landscape. There used to be a Moorish temple-like structure in the grounds covering the septic tank.
