Cathedral of St Edmundsbury
We chatted for ages with J & A over breakfast, about everything and anything. Very relaxed. I'd watched the tee-off of a golf tournament from our bedroom window. Early start and a heavy dew on the course but lots of supporters and cheering for photos.
A wonderful morning in Bury St Edmunds and a great history lesson. Magna Carta knights and castle ruins...
The architecture in the cathedral is magnificent and it looked a live and well-used place of worship. A family arrived for the christening of their baby, who sat proudly in his Silver Cross pram and holding a silver rattle.
I love the hint of a pink floor pattern here.
Back to Sawston where Joff cooked a delicious gammon joint, and roast vegetables freshly dug from their allotment by J and myself.
A journey home of traffic queues and road works but no complaints and very grateful for a happy weekend.
