The kids were much more interested in a bit of grinding on their scooters too and less on the county's showpiece Christmas tree.

I guess it makes sense; it's plastic, artificial and probably cost more than its constituent parts because it's Christmas - just like Decemberfest is nowadays anyhow. Especially liked the functionally unfestive barriers placed around the tree that ever-so-slightly draw your eye away from the nice twinkly lights.

Took a drive around the Wee County seeing what remained of all the flooding, but there was little sign of anything bar a few traffic cones and redundant flood warning signs. Good to get out for some fresh air and a walk with Euan though.
