Hatley Church

I had the sad task today of driving a few miles to express my condolences to a friend who lost her partner earlier this week.  On the way I noticed the light from the rising sun through the windows of this lovely old church and stopped for a few photos.  

The door was open as there was a pair of ladies preparing the church for the Harvest Festival; it was a very pleasant interlude as we discussed the church, how others in small villages were coping with reduced congregations and how they compared with the mosaics and reliquaries of the churches that we had seen in Venice.

So here is the church, inside and out.
