Ivy in the Ginnel

Outstanding job for the last three weekends has been to finish off the job that the council started  in removing the ivy from the ginnel (as my Dad would call it) and also from the top of our shed. 

It will die eventually but I wanted to get rid of it now as it''s unsightly.

This photo was taken just before Martin fell from the ladder and hurt his leg (we just hope he's not broken it..he can limp so not too bad, but not great). I carried on for another 4 hours but at only 25% removal had to admit defeat.  I just didn't have the strength/confidence  to pull really hard at the ivy at the top of the ladder.

Plan  to call reinforcements in next week.  If you can recommend anyone strong with a head for heights that lives locally, that would be great.
