Homework

I have felt weary today. But it was lovely to see #2 daughter and family. They brought lunch which was a treat. James wanted to go straight outside so Mr C took him to the woods. Thomas was busy writing and illustrating a story about a lonely dinosaur so decided not to go. After that he got his mum to help with his homework which was sentenced to write about autumn related to the senses. What she could see, smell etc about autumn. She had to help him with the spellings, getting him to sound out the words and he suggested what letters it could be. Hard work for both, but he is much more into it now.

Update on their house. Son in law researched the heating issue and found the problem was that the wrong valve had been fitted. The builder’s plumbers came and were persuaded to try and this worked. But what if they had not persisted? Many would not have been as successful with research and anyway the experts should have known.
