The stakes.....

....were high.

I got up early for the carpet fitter and found out he wasn't due until the afternoon so I cracked on with a few jobs. The fitter arrived and was here for hours and I must say he did a wonderful job. We now have carpet on the landing and stairs which is such a nice feeling. 

We had a nice curry for dinner and then played Monopoly. It was an intense game that lasted hours, we had gone well past midnight with just Gemma and myself on the board, I threw the towel in and gave Gem the victory as she had a couple more hotels than me.
