SCONE DAY
Cheddar, Stilton and bacon scones, a recipe suggested by a lady I met on Shetland. We were both staring at a sheep pen hoping for the Blyth’s Reed Warbler to pop out. It did pop out but had given us time to discuss food, and it was nice to have a non-bird conversation and to learn I wasn’t the only one to take my slow cooker on holiday with me.
Smothered with Shetland butter (not for me bringing home a stick of rock as a souvenir) the scones were deemed a success.
