Kowhai.

Pronounced “Kophie” is a wonderful NZ Native tree that gets to be spectacular at this time of the year and on The Boss’s post Tea stagger there was this nice example right at photo height with the dying sun there too doing it’s thing. It was a great day in Wanaka for a long weekend Sunday and The Boss was fascinated with the number of jet ski’s doing circuits and bumps out in the lake. He has never really understood the culture of these extremely expensive toys but then again he is an older dog.....Right?
There was a truly entertaining afternoon as The Boss assembled a 5 minute portable clothes line that took all afternoon with a hammer and file involved and needed another pair of hands too. He is learning to swear in another language. The Bossess rewarded him with a large block of dark 82% chocolate. He is worried that there is another project on the books.....so to bark. I stayed well away altho it was in my “garden” area I could sorta sense the air had a nasty tension in it. I am not a nasty tension dog....
