I went to see Slumdog Millionaire with my friend A tonight at "The Gate" in Newcastle. For those of you less familiar with the city, The Gate is an entertainment complex of bars, eateries and a cinema with an NCP carpark stuck on the back. It's all very convenient but I'm just not that convinced about it. Oh well.

I met A for an 18:20 showing, so I could get home at a decent time for enough zzz's before the next early morning.

As for the shot - The Gate's huge logo, from the back and reflected in the window it hangs in. I thought it had quite a Bollywood feel to it (more so than the film, which did a lovely parody of a Bollowoodesque dance number during the credits but was otherwise much "straighter" than I thought it might be - enjoyed it lots) and seeing the text backwards made it look like a different language - although more arabic than Hindi/Urdu. Anyway, it provided a blip, but I did have to go up and down the escalators running behind the logo a couple of times to get a decent shot :D
